for Warehouse Industry
The Opportunity:
Two people began with an idea for a dock door that had never
been built before, trying to get the attention of an industry
that had not changed for decades. Well, they got
the attention and a lot of it. The question became “Where
do we find the time to grow our staff fast enough to keep
pace with demand, when we’re already too busy?”
We partnered with the owners to meet a constantly changing
demand for talent. Initially, they utilized many different
recruiting firms, hoping the shotgun approach would yield
results. They found our recruiting capability to be superior
in finding candidates of higher quality and greater compatibility,
and entered into an exclusive relationship.
Business Insight:
Developed relationships with several people across multiple
levels of the organization to assure differing needs were
met in different areas of the company.
- Assured recruiter understanding of needs through
site tours and meetings with key decision makers
in the staffing process.
- Added services tailored to the demands of a rapidly
growing firm including on-site check delivery and
pre-employment orientation.
- Assured compatibility among all hires through
a benchmarking process based on behavioral characteristics
of candidates.

Recruiting Solutions:
Supplied a steady stream of semi-skilled production employees
to keep up with the constantly increasing demand. Identified
unique characteristics of candidates that could be effectively
trained and developed, as the available pool of potential
employees did not contain enough people experienced in the
same field.
- Assisted in the creation of the managerial roles
through sharing market comparisons and a variety
of potential candidates. Worked closely with
owners to define a cultural fit in these newly created
positions.
- Coordinated the recruiting, screening, and hiring
of a number of key positions that allowed the company
to continue rapid growth. Key personnel included
Production Manager, Purchasing Manager, Inside Sales,
Outside Sales, Production Lead, and Administrative
Support.
- Assisted in the transition of the firm from private
ownership to corporate ownership after the sale
to SPX Products in 2002.
